「ストーマ」「オストメイト」に理解を 「わかりやすい」

　「ストーマ（人工肛門、人工膀胱）」を描いたある動画が「簡潔でわかりやすい」と注目を集めている。
　あすかわいさんは13日、Twitterに「このマークをご存知ですか？」と「オストメイトマーク」を紹介する動画を投稿。オストメイトとはストーマを造設した人のことで、どのような病気が原因になるのかやストーマの仕組み、身体障がい者用トイレの重要性などを、可愛らしいイラストでわかりやすく伝えている。動画はiPad Proで描いた600枚の絵をアプリでつなげたといい、20日時点で126万回超再生されている。
　あすかわいさんは消化器外科で働く看護師で、友人の夫が大腸がんになりストーマを造設したことをきっかけに「人に説明がしにくくデリケートなことなので、簡潔に伝えるため動画にした」という。また、「多目的トイレは若者が溜まり場にしていることもありますが、そんなことは絶対にやめてほしい。動画を見て本当に必要としている人がいるということをわかってもらいたいです」と訴えた。
　一方で、臨床心理士で明星大学准教授の藤井靖氏は「皆さん洋服でカバーされているが、においが漏れないかどうかや温泉の入り方などいろいろな悩みを抱えている。また、ストーマの部位は大腸や小腸、膀胱などさまざまで、肛門と膀胱両方のダブルストーマという方もいる」としたうえで、「高速道路では1つしかなかったりするなど、オストメイトの方が使えるトイレの数がまだ足りないと思う」と対応する施設の数が不十分であることを指摘した。
